Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user's device during browsing. There are also similar technologies such as localStorage, which allows data to be saved locally in the browser without sending it to the server with each request.
The website teglio850.it does not use traditional cookies but exclusively relies on the browser's localStorage to store data functional to the service.
2. Technologies used
The website uses the following localStorage keys:
| Key | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
teglio-chat-session | Technical / Functional | Unique identifier (UUID) for the chat session with the virtual assistant | Browser session |
teglio-chat-messages | Functional | Chat message history to allow conversation continuity | Browser session |
teglio-cookie-consent | Technical | Storage of the user's cookie consent preference | 6 months |
Data stored in localStorage remains on the user's device and is not automatically transmitted to the server. It is used exclusively by the browser for the website's functionality.
3. Behavioural tracking (with consent)
The website uses a behavioural tracking system called EventTracker which, only after obtaining the user's explicit consent, collects anonymous browsing data:
- Scroll depth: how far the user scrolls on each page
- Time spent: how long the user spends on each page
- Exit intent: detection of the user's intention to leave the page
This data is exclusively anonymous and relates to browsing behaviour. No personally identifiable information is collected through the EventTracker. The system is active only after the user has given consent through the cookie banner.
The collected browsing data is used to trigger contextual suggestions (nudges) that improve the browsing experience, such as suggesting related pages or in-depth information.
4. Third-party cookies
This website does not use third-party cookies. Specifically:
- No Google Analytics or other third-party analytics tools are installed
- No social network tracking pixels are present (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- No third-party widgets or plugins that install cookies are used
- No advertising or remarketing systems are in place
5. How to manage your preferences
You can change your behavioural tracking preferences at any time by clicking the "Manage cookies" button in the website footer.
You can also delete data stored in your browser's localStorage through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Privacy, search and services → Clear browsing data
Clearing localStorage data will result in the loss of your chat history and the reset of your cookie preferences.
6. Further information
For more information about the processing of personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
